LOGISTICS & TRANSPORTATION

Field Staff, Many States. State Rules That Follow Work Location.

Track hub and field attendance, rotating shifts and overtime in one HRMS, with PF, ESI and Professional Tax applied by each employee's work location.

4Capabilities For Shifts And State Rules

THE PROBLEM

Every State Adds Its Own Rules To The Same Payroll Run

Hubs and field teams in several states mean PT and LWF slabs that differ by location, shift patterns that do not fit one template, and attendance spread across regions.

  • One rule set for every state. Professional Tax and LWF slabs differ by state, and without per-location configuration they get approximated instead of calculated.

  • Hub attendance nobody can scope. managers overseeing teams in several states cannot easily see attendance limited to the people who report to them.

  • Shifts and overtime kept in side registers. rotating and split shifts, and the overtime they create, get logged per hub and re-keyed before payroll.

BUILT FOR THIS INDUSTRY

Attendance, Shifts And State Rules For Logistics Teams

Attendance feeds shifts and overtime, the org hierarchy scopes each region's team, and statutory configuration applies state rules by work location.

Attendance

Check-in/out on web or mobile; each manager sees only their own reporting line.

Shifts & Overtime

One shift master; overtime recorded against each assigned shift and carried into pay.

Org Hierarchy

Reporting lines derived automatically, so regional managers see their own teams.

Statutory Configuration

PF, ESI, Professional Tax and LWF slabs and pay schedules, applied by work location.

COMPLIANCE

State Rules Applied Where Each Employee Works

Statutory Rules By Work Location

Approved attendance and overtime feed the pay run, where PF, ESI, PT and LWF apply by each employee's work location.

FAQ

Logistics & Transportation HRMS — Questions We Get Asked

The work location recorded for each employee decides which state's rules apply. Statutory Configuration sets PF, ESI rates, Professional Tax and LWF slabs and pay schedules, so each employee is calculated under their own state's rules rather than one approximated rule.

Yes. Attendance is scoped on the server through the org hierarchy, so a manager sees their direct and indirect reports only. If your hierarchy follows regions or hubs, a regional manager sees that region's team.

Shifts & Overtime keeps shift patterns in one shift master, records overtime against each employee's assigned shift and carries it into pay, so complex patterns do not need a separate register at every hub.

Per-location statutory configuration for cross-state compliance is part of the Growth plan, which adds the full compliance suite over Starter's base attendance and shift tracking.

Freeze dates in the Payroll Calendar close the window a cycle calculates against, so a late edit cannot change a closed cycle. Shift or overtime corrections for a closed cycle are settled through Retro Pay, which adds the difference to the next pay run as its own line item.

Yes. Employees get their own role-scoped login on web and in the self-service mobile app, where they can mark attendance, check leave balances and open current and past payslips without contacting HR.

State-specific statutory calculation by work location is available on the Growth plan. Multi-entity or multi-state payroll processed as separate legal entities is an Enterprise capability.

AUTOMATED CHECKS

Variance Checks Before Payroll Is Approved

Before a pay run is approved, BizzField compares the draft with the previous cycle and flags what looks wrong, so reviewers examine the exceptions instead of every line.

PRE-APPROVAL SCAN

Automated Variance Checks

Key Capabilities

  • Each employee's draft pay compared with the prior month
  • Pay movement above 20% flagged for review
  • Duplicate leave and expense submissions detected
  • Flags resolved from one HR queue before approval

Every draft run is compared with the previous cycle. Sharp pay movements, duplicate expense or leave submissions and timesheet conflicts are flagged for HR, who resolve each flag from a single queue while the run is still a draft.

SECURITY & PRIVACY

Role-Scoped Access And Privacy By Design

Access is enforced on the server from the reporting hierarchy, and data handling is designed around the principles of India's DPDPA. The security page sets out what is and is not certified.

DATA PRIVACY

DPDPA-Informed Data Handling

Key Capabilities

  • Consent logging for employee data
  • Data export for the employee
  • Deletion rights supported

Data handling is designed around the principles of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act. That describes how data is handled; it is not a certification.

Key Capabilities

  • Server-side role-based access, not just interface-level visibility
  • Manager visibility limited to their reporting hierarchy
  • AES-256 encryption at rest for employee records, bank details and document files

Role flags are not left to the front end. Access is scoped on the server, so a manager retrieves records only within their own reporting tree.
