ATTENDANCE & SHIFT TRACKING

Attendance And Shifts That Feed The Next Pay Run.

When attendance and payroll sit in separate tools, every month starts with an export and a reconciliation. BizzField HRMS records check-ins, shifts and overtime once, scopes review to each manager's team and carries approved hours into the pay run.

THE PROBLEM

Attendance And Payroll, Reconciled By Hand Every Month

Attendance in one place and payroll in another means a monthly export, a monthly import and a monthly chance for the two to disagree, often noticed only after payslips go out.

  • Attendance visible beyond a manager's team. without server-side scoping, a manager can open sensitive attendance logs from unrelated departments.

  • Overtime kept off the record. hours worked beyond the shift are noted in side spreadsheets, so approvers and payroll never see the same figure.

  • Month-end tallying by hand. HR and line managers add up days worked, half-days and loss-of-pay manually before payroll can even start.

  • Fragile export-import cycles. approved hours are exported to CSV and re-uploaded into payroll, where clerical errors, truncation and version mismatches creep in.

CAPABILITIES

Time & Shift Tracking Built To Feed Payroll

Four capabilities that take a daily check-in through manager review and into the pay run, with no spreadsheet in between.

Real-Time Check-In/Out, Scoped By Role

Employees check in and out on web or mobile. Visibility is scoped on the server, so managers see only the people in their own reporting line.

Shift Rosters & Overtime Tracking

Define multi-shift rosters, rotational patterns and per-department overtime rules, with alerts when hours cross the configured limits.

Automated Monthly Summaries & LOP

Daily punches roll up into a monthly summary of present days, late marks and loss-of-pay, so month-end is a review rather than a tally.

Direct Payroll Integration

Approved payable days and overtime are pulled into the draft pay run, alongside approved leave, with no export or re-keying in between.

HOW IT WORKS

From Daily Punch to Verified Pay Run

Each day's attendance moves through four stages. Only hours that clear manager review are pulled into the pay run.

  1. Step 01

    Check In Against Assigned Shift

Employees check in on web or mobile, and the punch is mapped against their assigned shift window and grace period.
    • Geofenced, IP-restricted or mobile clock-in, recorded only against the employee's own profile.
  2. Step 02

    Track Shifts, Breaks & Overtime

Working duration, breaks and extra hours build up automatically against the organization's shift policy.
    • Overtime hours are flagged automatically against the configured daily and weekly limits.
  3. Step 03

    Manager Review & Regularization

Managers review presence for their own team, resolve regularization requests for missed punches and approve overtime before it reaches payroll.
    • Managers see only their own reporting subtree, never other departments.
  4. Step 04

Approved Hours Feed The Pay Run

Approved payable days, overtime hours and leave without pay are pulled into the draft pay run, ahead of its variance checks and approval.
    • Replaces the CSV export, re-upload and cutoff reconciliation between the two systems.

FAQ

Attendance & Shift Tracking — Questions We Get Asked

Yes. Attendance and shift tracking is included in the Starter plan, alongside employee lifecycle management, leave management, timesheets, and org hierarchy.

No. Visibility is scoped on the server through the organizational reporting hierarchy. A manager can only inspect attendance logs and regularization requests for their direct and indirect reports.

Approved attendance and overtime hours are pulled into the draft pay run alongside approved leave, with no CSV export or re-upload in between. The draft then goes through variance checks and approval before it is paid.

Daily punches roll up into a monthly summary of present days, late marks and loss-of-pay. Approved leave is credited instead of counted as loss of pay, and the approved figures are pulled into the draft pay run.

Hours beyond the assigned shift are recorded against the attendance record and flagged against the configured daily and weekly limits. Managers approve overtime for their own team, and approved hours are pulled into the pay run.

Yes. Attendance and leave build the draft pay run, and its variance checks compare each employee's draft pay with the previous cycle. Unusual pay movements, duplicate leave submissions and timesheet conflicts are flagged before the run is approved.

BizzField reconciles approved leaves against daily attendance automatically. Days marked with approved leave in Leave Management are credited as authorized absences rather than unexcused loss-of-pay.

Yes. Employees can submit regularization requests with rationale and proof directly from their dashboard. Once their manager approves, the attendance record is updated.

AUTOMATED CHECKS

Variance Checks Before Payroll Is Approved

Before a pay run is approved, BizzField compares the draft with the previous cycle and flags what looks wrong, so reviewers examine the exceptions instead of every line.

PRE-APPROVAL SCAN

Automated Variance Checks

Key Capabilities

  • Each employee's draft pay compared with the prior month
  • Pay movement above 20% flagged for review
  • Duplicate leave and expense submissions detected
  • Flags resolved from one HR queue before approval

Every draft run is compared with the previous cycle. Sharp pay movements, duplicate expense or leave submissions and timesheet conflicts are flagged for HR, who resolve each flag from a single queue while the run is still a draft.

SECURITY & PRIVACY

Role-Scoped Access And Privacy By Design

Access is enforced on the server from the reporting hierarchy, and data handling is designed around the principles of India's DPDPA. The security page sets out what is and is not certified.

DATA PRIVACY

DPDPA-Informed Data Handling

Key Capabilities

  • Consent logging for employee data
  • Data export for the employee
  • Deletion rights supported

Data handling is designed around the principles of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act. That describes how data is handled; it is not a certification.

Key Capabilities

  • Server-side role-based access, not just interface-level visibility
  • Manager visibility limited to their reporting hierarchy
  • AES-256 encryption at rest for employee records, bank details and document files

Role flags are not left to the front end. Access is scoped on the server, so a manager retrieves records only within their own reporting tree.
