ON THE ROADMAP

Workflow Automation Is Coming to BizzField CRM. Ownership Already Works Today.

Rule-based auto-assignment, trigger-based notifications and follow-up sequencing are on the BizzField CRM roadmap. Until they ship, hierarchy-aware ownership and the Task module already keep every lead assigned and every follow-up tracked.

THE PROBLEM

Where Manual Assignment Breaks Down as You Scale

None of this is unusual today — it is exactly what rule-based workflow automation is being built to remove.

Leads sit unassigned: without automated routing, a new lead can wait in a shared queue until someone notices it.
Stage changes go unnoticed: no one is pinged when a deal moves, so managers only catch it at the next status review.
Follow-ups depend on memory: without sequencing, the next follow-up task only exists if a rep remembers to create it.
Re-assignment on leave or exit is manual: a departing rep's open leads have to be reshuffled by hand instead of a rule taking over.
Automation gaps get filled with spreadsheets: teams build workaround trackers that drift out of sync with the CRM.
Scaling the team multiplies manual routing: every new rep added means more assignment decisions, not fewer.
WHAT'S PLANNED — AND WHAT WORKS TODAY

Rule-Based Automation, Built on Ownership That Already Works

Two capabilities on the roadmap, and two that are already live and carrying the load until they ship.

01

Planned: Route Leads and Deals Automatically

Rule-Based Auto-Assignment

What you get

  • Auto-assignment rules based on criteria you define
  • Will layer on top of the existing User Hierarchy and Designation Level data
  • Designed to respect the same Roles & Permissions already governing every module
  • Not yet available — assignment today runs through hierarchy-aware ownership

New Leads and Opportunities will be routed automatically based on criteria you define, sitting on top of the same hierarchy and ownership model already live in BizzField today.

02

Planned: Alerts on Stage or Status Change

Trigger-Based Notifications

What you get

  • Trigger-based alerts when a stage or status changes
  • Will read from existing Lead Status and Pipeline stage-change data
  • Scheduled follow-up sequencing will generate real Task records automatically
  • Not yet available — changes are currently visible on the activity timeline

Notifications will fire the moment a Lead Status or Opportunity stage changes, reading from the same data BizzField already tracks in its stage-change history log.

03

Live: Hierarchy-Aware Assignment

Ownership You Can Rely On Today

What you get

  • Hierarchy-aware assignment across every CRM module
  • User Hierarchy view plus Department, Designation and Designation Level master data
  • Independent Read/Create/Update/Delete permissions per module
  • Dedicated Conversion permission controlling who can convert Leads and Quotations

Until rule-based automation ships, assignment already runs on structure, not guesswork — every Lead, Contact, Account and Opportunity carries a clear owner.

04

Live: Structured Follow-Up Tracking

The Task Module as Your Follow-Up Engine

What you get

  • Task Type covering Call, Email, Note, Follow Up, Visit and Other
  • Task Status moving from Pending through In Progress to Completed or Cancelled
  • Priority levels on every task, in both table view and card view grouped by type
  • Quick add-task action directly from any record's activity timeline

Follow-ups don't need automation to be trackable today — they need structure, and the Task module already provides it on every record.

WHY BIZZFIELD

A Roadmap Built on a Foundation That Already Works

Automation will extend a structure that is already carrying real teams' pipelines today.

Ownership Isn't an AfterthoughtHierarchy-aware assignment is already built into every module, so automation will layer rules on top of a structure that already works.
Follow-Ups Are Tracked, Not Hoped ForThe Task module gives every follow-up a type, priority, status and due date today, without waiting for trigger-based sequencing.
Every Change Is Already VisibleThe activity timeline and opportunity stage-change history log capture what's happening now, giving future triggers real data to act on.
Permissions Are Ready for AutomationIndependent Read/Create/Update/Delete permissions per module, plus a dedicated Conversion permission, mean rule-based actions will respect the access model you already set up.
Roadmap Items Are Transparent, Not VaporwareWe label what's planned versus shipped clearly across the product, so you can plan around what's real today.

FAQ

Workflow Automation — Questions We Get Asked

Not yet. Automated rules and triggers are on our roadmap. Today, teams manage assignment and follow-up through hierarchy-based ownership and the Task module.

Yes — assignment is handled through user hierarchy today, and follow-ups are tracked as Tasks with due dates, priority and status, which cover most day-to-day automation needs.

We don't publish fixed dates while a feature is still in design. Join the waitlist below and our team will reach out with the latest roadmap timeline for your use case.

No. The plan is for scheduled sequencing to generate the same Task records you already track today, so nothing you rely on now gets removed — automation extends what's already structured.

No migration is planned. Auto-assignment and triggers are designed to read the hierarchy, ownership and stage-history fields already in production, so rules apply to the data you already have.
