ON THE ROADMAP

File Attachments Are Coming to BizzField CRM. Structured Documents Already Work Today.

Attaching files — contracts, proposals, photos — directly to CRM records is on the BizzField roadmap and is not available in the current product. Today, quotations, orders and invoices are already generated and stored as structured, traceable records within their own modules.

THE PROBLEM

Where Loose Files Fall Outside the Deal Record

None of this needs attachments to describe — it is exactly the gap direct file uploads are being built to close.

Contracts and proposals live outside the CRM: without record-level attachments, files sit in email or shared drives instead of on the deal.
No single place to see every document on a record: a rep has to remember which folder a proposal was saved in.
Access to sensitive files isn't role-governed: without built-in controls, file sharing depends on manual discipline.
Photos from a site visit have nowhere structured to land: field evidence ends up in a personal camera roll or a chat thread.
Version confusion is common: the latest signed contract and an old draft can look identical without a system tracking which is current.
Reporting on documentation is incomplete: without attachments, there's no CRM-native way to confirm a contract is actually on file.
WHAT'S PLANNED — AND WHAT WORKS TODAY

File Attachments on the Roadmap, Structured Documents Live Now

Direct uploads are being designed. Until they ship, your commercial paperwork already lives inside connected, traceable records.

01

Planned: Contracts, Proposals and Photos

File Attachments on Every Record

What you get

  • Planned: attach files directly to Lead, Contact, Account and Opportunity records
  • Planned: a centralized document view alongside each record's activity timeline
  • Not yet available: attachments are not part of the current product build
  • Until this ships, structured documents cover quotations, orders and invoices

Files will attach directly to Lead, Contact, Account and Opportunity records, sitting alongside each record's activity timeline in a centralized document view.

02

Planned: Controls on Who Can View or Manage Files

Role-Based Document Access

What you get

  • Planned: role-based access controls on who can view or manage attached documents
  • Would inherit the same independent Read/Create/Update/Delete permission model already live
  • Ahead of general release, this is already planned for Lead, Contact, Account and Opportunity records
  • Not yet available — access to today's structured documents already follows Roles & Permissions

Access to attached documents will be governed by role, using the same permission model already applied across every other CRM module.

03

Live: Quotations, Orders and Invoices

Structured Commercial Documents, Live Today

What you get

  • Quotations: multi-line-item builder with automatic tax and discount calculation
  • Orders: generated directly from approved quotations with full traceability
  • Invoices: generated directly from confirmed orders, referencing the source order and quotation
  • Full quotation-to-order-to-invoice traceability, so nothing is a loose file disconnected from the deal

While free-form attachments are still on the roadmap, BizzField already generates and stores key sales documents as structured, traceable records.

04

Live: Connected to the Deal, Not Just Stored

Documents That Fit Your Pipeline, Live Today

What you get

  • Every quotation, order and invoice ties back to its originating Opportunity
  • Line items and pricing carry forward automatically on conversion, reducing re-entry errors
  • Access to quotations, orders and invoices is governed by Roles & Permissions today
  • Activity timelines on every record give visibility into what's happened on a deal, even without free-form attachments

Instead of scattered file uploads, your sales paperwork already lives inside the same records your team works from every day.

Yes, that's part of the plan. Role-based access controls on attached documents are already planned for Lead, Contact, Account and Opportunity records, inheriting the same Roles & Permissions model used across BizzField today.

No. Attachments are planned as an addition alongside the existing quotation-to-order-to-invoice workflow, not a replacement for it. The structured document flow you use today will continue to work the same way.
