No. BFT uses motion-sensor fusion (accelerometer, gyroscope and cell-tower triangulation). When the employee is stationary at a desk or in a meeting, high-power GPS sleeps and only periodic heartbeats are sent. Average consumption is roughly 6–8% battery across a full 9-hour shift.
BFT is offline-first. The app records all GPS coordinates, timestamps and activity logs into an encrypted local SQLite database. The moment the phone reconnects to any 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G or Wi-Fi network, the entire backlog syncs to the manager dashboard with original timestamps preserved.
No. BFT inspects Android and iOS OS flags such as mock-provider and developer-mode overrides. Fake GPS coordinates are detected, rejected and logged as security exceptions on the manager dashboard.
Yes. Location tracking is active only during the employee's punched-in shift. Once the employee punches out for the day, background location tracking automatically shuts down.
Yes. Inactivity alert rules are configurable by company, department or designation. Managers can set custom warning thresholds — for example, an alert after 30 minutes of zero movement — to match their operations.
